Android Tablets

To our surprise, it seems that a version of DOSBox for Android is available from the Google Play Store, and that using this our non-Windows simulations do run on Android Tablets, though the absence of keyboard or mouse does make it a little fiddly. We’ll post more on this as we learn!

Possible delays

For various reasons, there are three periods when orders, particularly for CDs, may be subject to delay, and we ask for your patience if you send orders during these times:

June 7-23
July 8-12
August 2-18

Windows simulations

Five Windows simulations are now available: Isle of Wight (East) 1932, Leicester Central 1957, North London Line 1938, Norwich 1952, and Woodford Halse 1957. Details of available Windows simulations are on the Windows page of our Products section.

Please note that the North London Line simulation is big, and can NOT be supplied on floppy disk. Please also note that it requires a display with a resolution of at least 800x600, and one larger than that is strongly recommended.

Our current plan is that all future simulations will be for Windows only. As far as we can tell, they should run on Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8 and later; they should run on Windows 98SE and Me, though in some cases a couple of Microsoft patches may be needed to support the now standard Windows installer and Help system. They also run on Linux with Wine!
